7. Project of an European Conference in Turin planned for November 2012

In November 2012, after the four preparatory seminars, once more in collaboration with the Prix Italia the European Conference on Public service media in the society of information and knowledge is scheduled to be held in Turin, lasting for two days.

On the first day the results of the four preparatory seminar s will be presented, together with the relative work reports and the final document of summary.

On the second day there will be a discussion with the representatives of the public service media , the regulatory authorities and the relevant national and European Institutions.

The documents of the European Conference – consisting of reports, discussions and proposals - will then be published later in a Green Paper on public service media in the society of information and knowledge. Together with the International Conference in November 2011 dedicated to The public broadcasting service in the history of Italy and tackling the transformations currently underway, this Green Paper will be the appropriate background for identify ing problems and issues on the basis of which a national debate can be initiated in view of the renewal of the Convention between RAI and the Italian state, due to expire on December 31st 2015.
